Is there free fitting?
All our carpet prices are inclusive of fitting. *

Do you come out and measure, if so, does it cost anything?
Measures are undertaken 5 days a week on a no obligation to purchase basis.

Where is the shop located?
We are situated at 4 Star street, Ryde next to the Commodore Cinema at the top end of the town.

Do you employ your fitters or are they sub-contracted?
We employ three fitters and have the use of other sub-contract fitters as and when required.

What types of underlay do you do?
We sell all types of underlay including rubber, traditional felt, polymer as well as specialist underlay such as those required for sound proofing.

Do you bind the edges of carpets?
Off cuts from carpet we have supplied as well as your own carpet can be bound. **

What type of flooring is suitable for what areas?
Once the use of the flooring has been determined by our staff various options will be offered for selections to be made from.

What's the difference between the types of carpets?
There are three main construction types Axminster, Wilton and Tufted each type will be available with a different surface finish indeed there are more than one type of finish to each type. Axminsters and Wiltons are made on the Traditional loom with the backing and surface woven at the same time. Tufted carpets are made using with a pre made backing into which the pile is inserted and then a secondary back is applied at a later stage.

What are your opening hours?
We are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday, excluding Bank Holidays.

Do you charge for delivery of goods?
No.

Do you sell vinyl?
Yes, all types of domestic vinyl and we can supply contract vinyl through a retail partner.

What are your payment terms?
A deposit is paid at the time of the order with the balance payable on completion.

Can you move furniture?
Yes, we move household effects, sometimes it is necessary to make a charge if there is a large amount or particularly awkward items requiring a more specialised service.

Do you move electrical, water or gas appliances?
Depending on the type of connection specialist trades may need to be engaged this we can organise.

How long do I have to wait for fitting?
Usually no more than 14 days after the order has been placed subject to stock being available.

Can you uplift and dispose of the old flooring?
Yes we can. This is a chargeable service as it becomes a commercial waste when we have to dispose off it.

Are there any additional fitting charges?
Generally no, sometimes it may be necessary to advise of a surcharge however the reasons for this will be fully explained at the time of the order when our client is able to make a decision based on the facts before them.

Can you bring samples out to the home?
Yes we can, however please bear in mind a home selection service will not be as extensive as one made in our premises as we are unable to carry all the samples we offer in a van.

If we order now, is there a time limit on when we have it fitted?
No, we are able to store in our premises, if a long time is envisaged we may require a larger deposit. Please discuss this with us so that we are able to advise.

If a rug/mat isn't right, can we bring it back?
Yes you may. We will exchange it for another or refund your money providing it is returned in the same condition it left us.

If I bring a sample from somewhere else, can you get hold of it for me?
We will always try and identify the product and offer a competitive price.

How long does it take for carpets/vinyl's to come in?
Once a product is ordered providing it is in stock at the supplier we would expect to se it with us within 10 days.

How do I remove stains?
Depending on what has caused the stain will determine what cleaning agent to use. Advice is free but speed is usually of the essence. Ring us and we will help if we can.

Can we borrow samples?
All our samples are available for viewing at home, please remember you are probably going to live with it for a long time choosing the right carpet is essential.

Do you sell natural flooring?
Yes. We do all types of natural flooring including Seagrass, Jute, Coir, Sisal to name a few.

Can you fit a carpet, event though you didn't supply us with it?
Yes we will, although priority will be given to clients who have purchased through us.

No question is too trivial to ask or not worthy of an answer the more information that is available provides a happier client.

* A minimum quantity order of 10 sq m applies for fitted inclusive prices. A surcharge will be applied for stairways.

** We can only offer this service on new carpets.
